Since May 2016, a free software product — “1C:Microenterprise 8 (1C:Mikroettevõte 8 for Estonia)” — has been available. It is intended for automating organizations with microenterprise status (“Mikroettevõtja”) engaged in any type of commercial activity, including wholesale trade, services, manufacturing, etc. Accounting complies with the current legislation of the Republic of Estonia.
For user convenience, the software is distributed in electronic form, allowing it to be downloaded and installed quickly without waiting for boxed delivery.
The software product “1C:Microenterprise 8 for Estonia” can be used only in single-user mode; expanding the number of workplaces is not supported. The license allows accounting to be maintained on one workstation and only for the organization to which the program is registered. To keep records for multiple organizations, a separate application must be submitted for each organization or another version of 1C:Accounting 8 must be purchased (see Comparison).
The solution includes the necessary functionality for accounting, including preparation of mandatory (regulated) reports, for organizations engaged in wholesale and retail trade, services, etc. It is designed for small businesses where one accountant works with the system and no customization of the standard configuration is required.
For details, see the Description of features and limitations.
